About Dorothy Martin
In my young days I had a strong urge to write but then my life became filled with other distractions, including travel, marriage, children and later on, studies in music, ceramics and archaeology. All these provided me with a deep reservoir of knowledge and experience on which to draw when I finally returned to writing a few years ago.
As well as novel-length romance writing, I enjoy the challenge of the short story where every word must count in the achievement of the single narrative. I have had some success in this area with wins in the Raspberry & Vine and the Romance Writers of Australia Little Gems short story contests. I am at present working on a romantic suspense novella.
I grew up here on the North Coast of NSW and after fifteen years away from it found myself, plus family, back again in my favourite corner of the world and I’ve been here ever since. After family, writing and music-making are the high priorities in my life.
